The latest update to this application does not properly layout the text on the phone so there are huge formatting issues as the text is actually illegible. Secondly, the information as it pertains to ramp time and the specific types of apneas which are taking place are too small in order to read exactly what type of event is taking place.
The objective for those of us who deal with this topic daily needs to be to provide the end user with information that is clear and concise. Furthermore, should the end user want to see a specific definition it would be wise for Phillips to cite a medical definition and provide a second definition in laymans terms so that the end user can provide factually correct information to the physician. Should the physician be unavailable the end user must provide factual information to the answering service, therefore, the information left must be made in medical terms. This way should the physician be unavailable for an extended period of time the secondary physician is able to read the message properly and respond to the end user correctly.
Is it simply too much to ask for something that is factually correct? I do not think so and it is to be considered reasonable and customary to provide the end user with the proper information should an event take place which requires immediate medical assistance.
